Sofie Matonis is the author of the ongoing crime serial, "The Law Fought Me," on uicradio.net. She loves experimental writing and noir films, and plays bass in the indie-punk band, Cosmic Balrog. Her writing is fueled by music. The short story "Lilac" was written listening to the Pearl Jam album, "Ten," and its editing was completed with Hole's "Live Through This."
